One busy day...

Mr. U and I have had a VERY busy and tiring day today. Family Life Today hosts an adoption conference called If You Were Mine. Today they held one at a church near us and our adoption agency (Chinese Children Adoption International-CCAI) asked if we would mind putting up a booth at the conference and talking with prospective adoptive families about the agency. We had the BEST time talking with couples about CCAI and adopting from China. We LOVE talking about adoption!!! The time flew by and before we knew it we were packing up to come home. While we did have a blast, it is amazing how tiring it is just standing there talking with people!! LOL!! We both pray that many families will want to adopt, whether from China or somewhere else. What a blessing it is to serve the Lord by helping others know how they can make the difference in the life of a child through adoption.

Mrs. U, this was such a touching post. I imagine you blessed many couples today as much as they blessed you in return! I'm sure you touched many hearts and maybe will lead some to consider adopting from China! How wonderful:)

Hello Mrs. U! What a blessing it would be to help a child. Foster care and adoption is so wonderful to me. To make that child feel loved and safe. I have read that you have two children. You have not mentioned them very much. What are they like? Will it be hard for them to accept this child? I would love to but with having children already I just don't know how they would take it.

Totally off-topic here.... your tea is now in the tender loving care of the USPS. :) Let me know when it arrives!

Blessings!

Now, on-topic.... a friend-couple of ours are currently in the process of adopting a little girl from China and we're very excited for them!

Annecourager- THANK YOU FOR THE TEA!!! Oh,I just can't wait to get it! You are FAR too kind to send it!!! My current supply is almost gone. What can I say? I'm a chai kinda girl!! :)

Anonymous- I wish you had signed your name. I feel very rude addressing "Anonymous". :( Our children are from my husband's first marriage. Our daughter is now married and very involved in her birth mother's life and has her life without us. Our son lives with us and is very excited about being a big brother after all these years (he's 18). He's trying to decide on her nickname- a name that, he says, only he will be able to call her. HA!! He is going to China with us to bring her home and says he can't wait to see her homeland. One day he said "Gosh, Mom, I'm so protective of you and Dad, I'm gonna be WORSE when it comes to protecting Elizabeth!!". Too sweet!!!!

Besides, it isn't up to what the children think anyway. It's up to where the Lord leads us. We just happen to be blessed that our son is very excited. :)

Thank you for asking!

His,
Mrs. U
