Making a House a Home

For those of y'all that have blogs with Blogger, have you had problems lately with people commenting on old posts? Some comments are super weird and some are a bunch of links to strange websites. Some of them have been names you can click on and go to a not-so-decent blog and some have been from "anonymous". Thankfully all comments, no matter how old, all come to my inbox so I immediately delete all odd comments from my blog. Still, I'd love to know if I'm the only one experiencing this problem.

I'm SO sad! So far this year, four of my favorites bloggers have stopped blogging- Mrs. Cat (Making It Home), Mrs. Wilt (The Sparrows Nest), Crystal (Biblical Womanhood) and Susan (A Place Called Home). I do understand that real life is WAY more important than the blogging world, but I do miss learning from them.

Now I am looking for more blog favorites. I would LOVE to know what your favorite blogs are, especially homemaking blogs. Please PLEASE share!!

If anyone is hoping for a sweet, encouraging blog post, stop reading here. This is simply a post of me ranting and needing HELP!!! :)

Once again, I am having troubles with Photobucket. I upload the photos from my computer to Photobucket and then transfer them to my blog. But for the past month or so, when I take the photos from Photobucket to my blog, they are SUPER DUPER HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY?????? And, unless I resize them to teensy tinsy, they will NOT fit on my blog posts (they will be too wide and HUGE!)!!!!!!

Grrrrr......

And I've tried Flickr, as well. But I have YET to get a photo to upload with them. Each time Flickr has the message that it didn't upload and to try again. Ridiculous.

This is seriously getting on my nerves. I would LOVE to be able to share things here on my blog, but I can NOT figure out how to get the photos loaded properly.

Does anyone have any kind of suggestion???

HAHA! How's that for a blog title? :)

Anyway, just a quick apology for the rather LARGE photo in the earlier post. I have NO idea how to correct it! I did everything just like normal, but for some reason, the photo is extra wide!!!

Anyone have a clue? HELP!!

UPDATE: It's finally corrected! I have no idea why, but I had to go into photobucket.com and manually resize the photo. Looks like I'll be doing that from now on. If anyone else is having this issue with photobucket.com and blogger, PLEASE let me know!!

Okay, if y'all don't know this by now, I am pretty clueless when it comes to computer things. So, I need your help.

As you can see, I added a new link to my sidebar up on top for Old Virginia Candles. How can I get that link centered? It looks funny off to the left like it is.

Oh, why do I have that there? Well, I'll explain a more later on this week. But for now, is there anyone that can help me make it look better???

Seriously, if any of y'all read my complaining about Blogger not uploading my pictures, you will be happy to know (well, maybe you won't be happy about it, but you know what I mean) that Photobucket works WONDERFULLY WELL!!!

I tried using Flickr, but that didn't work at all. I even tried opening a blog at another bloghost (gasp!!!!), but THAT didn't work, either!! I was ready to throw it all in and leave the blogging world all together. Then, my Knight-in-Shining-Armour (and computer whiz) Mr. U stepped in with Photobucket!!!! Aaaaahhhh!!!!!!! My worries are over and Photobucket will upload my photos WAY quicker than I ever dreamed!!!!

Is it only me? Is anyone else having problems uploading photos to your blog? Not photos from the internet, but your personal photos.

This has been going on for several weeks now and it is driving me crazy!! Every once in a while I'll hit it at just the right time and upload a photo (maybe even two- woohoo!), but for the most part, I just sit and wait and wait and wait... and nothing happens. Oh wait... something does happen. I get this message on the screen that says

"This program cannot display the webpage"

Am I the only one with this problem?? Help!!!!

I know there are several of y'all that have Etsy shops. Do you like using Etsy? What are the good/bad points about it? Have you actually sold anything?

I'm kust asking for future reference. I don't have anything to sell, yet, but I have a few ideas rolling around in my head. :)
