Show and Tell Friday- Grandmother's ring...
It's Friday!!! So that means that Kelli is hosting (or should that be hostessing?) Show and Tell Friday!!! What fun!!
I would like to share with y'all my grandmother's ring. A few years ago, she gave my sister and I each a ring that had been special to her. She wanted to give them to us while she was still alive so that she knew that we would get them.
My grandmother is still alive (she's 87) but not in good health at all. I'm so glad that she gave this beautiful ring to me so that I always have something that I can "put my hands on" to remind me of her.

Wow, this is such a beautiful ring! I wonder how old it is!
Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words of support, which were precisely what I needed to hear at the moment.
It a pretty ring and so much more special since it was hers.
Very pretty.
It's beautiful. And will be cherished for a long time to come, I'm sure.
What a blessing. My grandma was 86 in May. I feel so blessed to still have her and Grandpa around. Lovely ring. Have a great weekend.
What a beautiful ring. Thank you for sharing.

Your ring is lovely!
That is one beautiful ring. That's great that she had 2 to give...
That was so thoughtful of her to give you the ring while she was still alive. What a sweet remembrance of her.
Lovely! I really like your blog site as well! Beautiful, just beautiful. Blessings.
The ring is beautiful! How sweet of her to go ahead and give you this precious gift and memory.
Such a beautiful ring, Mrs. U!! How wonderful that your grandmother gave it to you, I know you will treasure it.

What a wonderful heirloom for you to pass on to your daughter.:)
Such a beautiful ring, but even more beautiful is the wonderful testament to the relationship you have with your Grandmother!
I have jewelery from my grandmother that I will probably never wear, even though the jewelry is beautiful.
It's very pretty and I'm sure you'll treasure it forever! (o:
Thanks so much for signing my Guest Book ;O)

Wow, what a gorgeous gift and keepsake.
What a beautiful ring, how special for her to give it to you :)
It's a beautiful ring, and I know how much you cherish it! I have a few things from my grandmothers that I will never part with.
Very nice. It is good to give things to our children while we are still alive... I would say grandchildren, but I don't have any yet. I am sure she enjoys knowing you have it.
Mrs. U--the ring is so pretty!!! My grandmother is 87 also, I know how precious the time is with her now. Thank you for sharing, my friend:)

You have made me think of my dear grandmother. She was such a blessing to me and I miss her dearly.
When she passed away my aunt asked me to look through her sewing room and take anything I wanted. I took her embroidery scissors and measuring tape. Every single time I visited my grandmother those items were on the side table next to her chair. I now loved using them when I sew and I think of her busy hands always crafting something new.
Very nice and how fortunate that you got it while she is alive. It gives you a much happier memory when you look at it.
So beautiful, and made all the more so because of the sentimental attachment! How wise of your grandmother to take care of this "passing things on" while she was able to oversee it! Something you'll treasure always.
Absolutely lovely ~ a "treasure" from the heart!
How pretty and what a lovely heirloom with precious memories of your grandmother.

What a lovely ring. She made sure that you will have the ring to remember her. You also have the memory of her giving it to you. What a sweet blessing!
It's lovely, and I imagine that being given it while she is still living makes all the more special. :o)

Hi there. Thank you for stopping by my blog. What a lovely ring. My mom who is 82 did the same thng and gave me a ring she wanted to make sure I got - interesting how important that is to them and yet blesses us so much.
I found my way here via "The Deputy Domain". I've enjoyed reading your posts and I will definitely visit frequently.
Beautiful ring!
What a treasure from your grandmother... she sounds very special to you and how wonderful that she gave you this while she's still here on earth.
Hi Mrs U. thanks for dropping by. Yes I did make the Spa set, I'm working on another one for a friends birthday :-)
I've just put some over ripe bananas in the freezer so I'll have them ready when I want to make banana bread of muffins. I will have to give your recipe a try.
Thanks everyone for visiting!! I just wish we could all meet over here for lunch and, of course, some banana bread, and y'all could see the ring in person!!!
His,
Mrs. U
My grandmother had 5 granddaughters, and had also been married 5 times, lucky for us. She gave us each an engagement ring.
Yours is gorgeous!
