Show and Tell Friday- Grandmother's ring...

It's Friday!!! So that means that Kelli is hosting (or should that be hostessing?) Show and Tell Friday!!! What fun!!

I would like to share with y'all my grandmother's ring. A few years ago, she gave my sister and I each a ring that had been special to her. She wanted to give them to us while she was still alive so that she knew that we would get them.

My grandmother is still alive (she's 87) but not in good health at all. I'm so glad that she gave this beautiful ring to me so that I always have something that I can "put my hands on" to remind me of her.

Such a beautiful ring, but even more beautiful is the wonderful testament to the relationship you have with your Grandmother!

I have jewelery from my grandmother that I will probably never wear, even though the jewelry is beautiful.

Very nice. It is good to give things to our children while we are still alive... I would say grandchildren, but I don't have any yet. I am sure she enjoys knowing you have it.

You have made me think of my dear grandmother. She was such a blessing to me and I miss her dearly.

When she passed away my aunt asked me to look through her sewing room and take anything I wanted. I took her embroidery scissors and measuring tape. Every single time I visited my grandmother those items were on the side table next to her chair. I now loved using them when I sew and I think of her busy hands always crafting something new.

Very nice and how fortunate that you got it while she is alive. It gives you a much happier memory when you look at it.

So beautiful, and made all the more so because of the sentimental attachment! How wise of your grandmother to take care of this "passing things on" while she was able to oversee it! Something you'll treasure always.

Hi Mrs U. thanks for dropping by. Yes I did make the Spa set, I'm working on another one for a friends birthday :-)
I've just put some over ripe bananas in the freezer so I'll have them ready when I want to make banana bread of muffins. I will have to give your recipe a try.

My grandmother had 5 granddaughters, and had also been married 5 times, lucky for us. She gave us each an engagement ring.

Yours is gorgeous!
