Mrs. Pear's Cinnamon Buns...
Oh YUM!!! After visiting Mrs. Pear's place on Friday, I decided I HAD to make her Land of Nod Cinnamon Buns. OH BOY are these babies good!!!!
I did make some changes, though. I didn't have any frozen roll dough on hand, so I decided to use homemade. I made my Potato Roll recipe and used that instead of the frozen dough. I omitted the raisins, too, because Mr. U isn't crazy about them. I, however, think it would have been WONDERFUL with raisins, pecans and maybe even some orange zest in there!!!!
Here's my Potato Roll recipe. I use the bread machine to do all the kneading for me.
Potato Rolls
1 ¼ cup warm water
3 T vegetable oil
7 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 T mashed potato flakes
3 cups bread flour
1 ½ tsp yeast
Place ingredients in bread machine, set to "dough" cycle. When complete, divide the dough into 20 pieces.
Okay... now start the Land Of Nod Cinnamon Buns...
Place the pieces in a greased bundt pan, mix all the Cinnamon Bun ingredients together (except for the butter) and sprinkle on top. Drizzle melted butter all over. Let this rise in the oven for about 45 minutes and then bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
Here is Mrs. Pear's recipe. With either recipe, you will be SOOO happy that you decided to share this scrumptious delight with your family! And they will be happy, too!!
Here's a piece just for you...

Thank you for the links!
I am so glad you like them! And thanks for the tip on using my own dough, i had been thinking about that but had not sat down to figure it out yet. I think I will try my whole wheat recipe....
Thanks for the "oh so delicious" bread recipe for cinnamon rolls. I will grind some wheat and try this out soon!
This looks tremendous! I plan on trying it really soon, to bring in to work! I'll let you know how mine comes out when I make it!
I have made these before, but had forgotten about them! They are so good and easy!
Thanks for the reminder. (and the extra 5 lbs I gained just looking at the picture!)LOL
Looks very delish! There goes my diet out the window :)
I do have to tell you that I made your pecan chicken salad and it will now have a permanent spot in my recipe box...out of this world! I also made your apple butter and it was sooo simple...much simpler than having to chop and peel apples...I love it!...talk about a timesaver. I love using my crockpot.
Thank you so much for sharing your recipes. I will be sure to share mine to and will post some very soon.
You always post the most scrumptious looking recipes! I just might have to give these a try. I tried making some cinnamon rolls from a Nigella Lawson cookbook this weekend, but they need not turn out very well. :o(
BTW, I printed off your vidalia onion pie recipe to try and we LOVED it! Thank you for sharing such a delicious treat :o)
Mrs. U--YUMMY!!!!
P.S. You have been tagged over at my blog:)
Julieann:)
Those look good! I love baking, and even though I don't have much time to bake right now, I'm writing that down!

These sound really good. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
Oh, thank you for these recipes! The buns look soooo yummy. I am thinking it will be good to make these for Father's Day breakfast?? Thank you, Mrs. U. As usual, you have such a lovely blog!
In His Grace,
Mama Russell
Ok! I made this and took it in to work yesterday morning! It.was.so.good! LOVED it! Thank you once again for posting the link. I used frozen bread dough (my store brand, for $1.49/20 rolls). One of my co-workers told me that I could make one and put it on his desk the next day, that it was the best thing he'd eaten in a long time! LOL
