Cloth Napkins...
So, we've decided to start using cloth napkins around here. Sure, we want to save money and not buy so many paper towels. Mostly, though, if I can be completely honest with you, I think cloth napkins are just plain cuter than paper towels!!! I mean, look at the different fabrics!!!!!
I'm all about blue and white in our home. It reminds me of a big blue sky that's full of sunshine!! My mom has always loved blue and white, so I guess part of my draw to this color combination is her. Thanks Mom!!!
I've collected these cloth napkins from various places. Even Williams Sonoma and Sur la Table!! When they have sales, they can have some great deals. And if there's blue and white cloth napkins, I'm so there!!! I also have found some at the Country Living Fair that comes to Stone Mountain Park each year. You can be sure that when I find a good deal on blue and white cloth napkins, I'll be purchasing some.
They don't all match, you say? Aw that's perfectly fine with me. As long as they are blue and white, they go together just fine. I don't even care if we each use a different patterned napkin during the meal- as long as they are my beloved blue and white.
Do you use cloth napkins? If so, please share pics on your blog and let me know!
And let me know where y'all have found deals on cloth napkins. I know Tammy has a tutorial to make your own, too!!!

We only use cloth napkins also and love how pretty they are! Mine are mostly floral prints but I love your mix and match blue set idea too! Thanks for sharing with us on the Art of Home-Making Mondays at Strangers & Pilgrims on Earth! :)
Thank you for visiting, JES!!!! And thank you for hosting Art of Home-Making Mondays!!!
We used cloth napkins all the time some years ago and then I made the mistake of using them to drain fried potatoes on too many times... and then washed them with the non-greased ones and ruined them all!! Recently my husband mentioned he missed the cloth... and I agreed. They are so much sturdier then paper. I had found some nice fabric at a yard sale a while back and used that to make my own (I actually wrapped and gave them to him for Christmas!). I simply used a square cardboard outline, traced, cut and sewed a plain stitch along the edge. Once I washed them they sort of frayed at the edges as if they were made that way ;-) They look nice... I will try to remember to post a picture of them in my Menu Monday article this coming Monday for you :-) btw, I like your blues, they look very nice!
I'll bet your cloth napkins are lovely!!! The edges sound pretty!! I can't wait to see them Monday!!
I had to chuckle when you said you wrapped new napkins and gave them to your husband for Christmas. What did he say? :). Thoughtful gift!!!
Thank you for visiting!!
I love cloth napkins and use them often but not everyday. I should. I too love blue and white although yours are prettier than mine. Love them,
Thanks for sharing at Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop,
Bev
I do like blue and white, too. I think I'm going to freshen up paint in our home and blue and white may well be in the mix.
Do drop in!
Blessings from Harvest Lane Cottage,
