Cleaning even the nooks and crannies...

This is my refrigerator door. You see that plastic strip across the top of the door? It's the brown strip.... see it???? Look closer...

No... look even CLOSER!!!!

OH MY STARS!!!! Do y'all see all that icky stuff in there? I discovered it the other day and just had to take a picture to share with you. I mean, when was the last time you looked inside that little crevice? I never thought to look in there to clean, but boy am I glad I did!! All it took was a quick brush with an old toothbrush (that I use to clean with) and the nasty crumbs were all gone.

How they got there in the first place will always be a mystery, but I can promise y'all they will never return!!!

Oh yes, the nooks and crannies! It's so easy to overlook them, thanks for the reminder. (o:

It's good to hear that that happens to other people too. Seriously, it's mysterious stuff.

PS Glad to hear your approval of the Pioneer Lasagna! I will try it on your recommendation.

If you can't see it... it's not dirty! I you can... well, toothbrushes do excell at more than teeth.

I hate finding stuff like this in my house! When I do, I feel like I'm living in complete filth, declare to my husband that we are disgusting people and proceed to clean every nook and cranny I can find. He looks at me like I'm a crazed lunatic, but the house appears clean to him. He doesn't get it.

I save our old toothbrushes and use them to tackle tricky spots like this. I'd better go check out my fridge right now...:)

Friend, Perhaps you can make a post about "spots you never think to clean until you find it one day" sort of thing... for example... who thinks about cleaning out their dishwasher when it is constantly being "cleaned" by soap and water? The floor of my dishwasher gets this residue every now and then and I have to get in there and scrub away- and it isn't necessarily and old dishwasher! Today I was cleaning the tub and thought to look under the soap dish (which I never thought to before) and I was simply amazed on what was going on there too! I bet you and lot of your readers have come across those interesting spots in their homes too! Happy Cleaning! Gretchen

Made the chocolate pie for Val's Day. Delicious! I would cream the butter and sugar longer and test it (don't just follow the directions) to make sure the consistency is creamy. :) Yummy, very rich, not something I will make often because I like it the most out of all 6 of us. :)
