Weekend cleaning... do you?

I normally do not post on the weekends, but as I was getting ready to clean, I wondered how many of y'all do any cleaning on the weekends? Until recently, I made sure all the cleaning was done Monday through Friday so that I would be free on the weekends. However, I've noticed that our home on Sundays has always been in such disarray!! I decided that I needed to at least give the bathrooms a quick clean and vacuum our living room on Saturday afternoon. You never know when guests will come over after church and I don't want them to see our home all a mess!!!

So do any of you clean on the weekends? Or do you accomplish it all during the week? I'd love to hear!!!

I work 10 hour days so I'm usually not up to cleaning when I get home. I reserve all my cleaning for the weekends and feel pretty accomplished once they are over.

I work for 6 hrs each day oustide of our home, by the time I get home...I like to spend time with my daughter and then prepare dinner. I clean throughout the week and the weekends I normally make sure everything is in its place and all the laundry is finished, just so our week will start smoother with everything already done.

I clean on the weekends. Saturday mornings can be very relaxing washing dishes, and listening to musicals.

I usually do some light cleaning on the weekend. I found that if I didn't then things could be out of control by Monday morning!

I am home with our two girls full time, but I find that with them being ages 4 and 11 months (and NOT sleeping through the night yet), and with the 4 year old homeschooling that it is very hard for me to get everything done. So Saturdays are usually used for catch up where we all pitch in and run errands.

We do try to save Sunday as special, but if a load of laundry needs to go through because we had a night of teething or spit up, we do it.

Saturdays are reserved for cleaning chores that don't fit in the regular weeks schedule. Floor mopping, bathroom cleaning, window washing etc. But it's not set in stone. Sometimes we work harder in the week so that we can have Saturday open. Sunday we only do what is absolutely necessary. The garbage goes out and to the curb so it is ready for pick up early on Monday morning, the dishes still need taking care of, garden watered and meals cooked. Oh and a constant pick up of clutter that the seven of us leave behind.

I usually do clean on the weekends due to my job during the week. But I have to keep up with it during the week too or the house can get out of control. I think doing a little big every day helps.

Hi Mrs. U! I do a "weekend tidy-up" on Friday afternoon. This includes dusting and vacuuming. I always make sure the house is still tidy when I go to bed Sunday night, because it's so much better (for me) when I wake up to a clean house on Monday morning.

I strive to accomplish my major housework during the week. Fridays I do what I call a 'mini-clean' that includes going over the most lived in areas of our home with a dust cloth and vacuum.
However, every night before bed I tidy and straighten and wipe down counters, sinks, etc. so the house is always fresh and inviting in the mornings.

I TRY not to clean on the weekends, as I try to reserve that for relaxing days with Jonathan. BUT....sometimes those are the days I can get the most done, like Saturdays. I still try to clean the most M-F, and save Saturday's for what didn't get done during the week...or fun organizing projects :D

Since I'm home every day and don't have "little ones" running around, I am able to get my housework done during the week. Saturday is usually spent with Mr. P and Miss Bonnie and then Sunday we worship and rest until.............Sunday night rolls around and I look at my house and think to myself, "what in the world has happened?" It looks like a tornado has gone through!!!!! So..........I can't stand it, and I tidy up before bed. A messy house is not a good thing to wake up to on a Monday morning:) Ugh!!

I do more cleaning on Saturdays than any other day. I always have. Weekdays we are busy with home business, schooling, writing projects, etc. and I like the house to be freshened up for the Lord's Day.

The children and I clean a little each day M-F. The library and family rooms get cleaned on Thursday and Friday so if we do have company, they're ready to go and all we have to do is a quick touch up on the guest bathroom. Saturdays we do laundry.

I didn't use to clean on weekends, but I find that by Sunday night, our house is a DISASTER if I don't at least do some de-cluttering throughout the weekend. I hate starting a week with a messy house, so I do a little bit over the weekend just to keep it from getting out of hand.
