"It sounds as if they want only the people of China to be able to access healthy children and they want the rest of the world to only be able to adopt special needs. Am I reading this wrong????????"

I had to write with disgust over your comment (I pasted it above) left on Rumor queen...
Why shouldn't China have priority over nsn children? Never has it been said that China should be the uterus of infertile people in this world.
Remember that one day your daughter will grow up...she may have a mind of her own afterall. She may want to return to China to live. DNA may mean that she will be able to locate her birthmom someday - as it is likely that China will open up in a huge way 15 years from now. I urge you to value China's gift to you by exposing your daughter to true Chinese culture. It's her heritage. And remind her that in an ideal world, she would have been able to stay with her birthmom, who most likely loved her very much.

Dear Anonymous,
Did I say that was what *I* felt???? I was simply saying what I thought China was doing.

China looks VERY down on "special needs" children. So sad. A worker in our hotel when we were there referred to special needs children as "broken".

Very sad.

Mrs. U
