Making a House a Home involves all aspects of homemaking- cooking, cleaning, gardening, learning to be a godly wife and mother, and, above all, following the Lord Jesus Christ in all things.
Well...our family made the decision to NOT join in on facebook...don't feel like we're missing a thing...except lots of blog giveaways now have facebook as a requirement. Oh well. So...enjoy being one of us few who just don't do it. :)
Btw, I've been cleaning out my Bloglines for the past week or so since they're shutting down on Oct 1. I had TONS of your saved recipes that I had to copy and paste over into my receipe folder. (I should have done it long before now!!) I saw the Crockpot Bacon Chicken one and made it this week....a little salty for us but still good. Thanks!
I signed up for FB & Twitter about a year ago thinking it would be a good way for me to connect with my readers and I don't think I've made more than a handful of posts on either one. I just CANNOT get into it for some reason.
Every time I think I should write something or catchup up on what friends have written I would rather do something that doesn't involve a computer screen.
Sometimes it seems like the whole world is on there and I'm the only one that's not. Apparently even email and using cell phones for talking instead of texting is outdated.
I have many friends that are not on facebook. My husband gave me a cartoon he found the other day. It goes like this. An older woman asks a young girl in church if her name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. The young girl answers, I don't know, but I'm on Facebook.
No,you aren't the only one. I have chosen not to for many reasons and I am sticking to it!My teenagers and I don't have cell phones either and we waste less time. There are many lost arts(cooking, sewing, crafts, knitting, playing instruments)that women aren't teaching their children because Moms are too busy .It is pretty sad!
No you are not the only one. I started a facebook account a couple of years ago and never really saw the big deal with it. I blog instead. Not enough time in the week for both. Blessings Diane
I tried it for a few months and then shut it down. I don't miss it *at all*!
I can see how it can be somewhat useful but I have also seen some of the ugly side of it. And I've heard tragic things too such as people leaving their spouses for someone they reconnected with on FB.
You're not alone! We made the decision that this would just be one more thing that would be a pull on our time. We're on the go and busy enough as is...we heart our cell phones and laptops, but we're working to balance out their use without any more added "goodies".
Hi Mrs. U, I am not on Facebook either. Nor twitter. I have pared down my blog list and the amount of time I spend on the computer. My blog is a way to share Jesus with other or I would shut it down too. I have enjoyed my visit. Blessings Elizabeth
No you're not the only one not on FB. I'm not on FB!!!
It feels like everyone is on FB since most people don't blog any more. Sadly life has me way to busy to blog at the moment but I still lurk and read!!!
I am a born again Christian, saved by grace alone. I am happily married to Mr. U. We live in the South where I get to enjoy being his helpmeet and being a mother to our sweet children.

Yep!!!!!
No, you're not the ONLY one. My parents aren't on facebook, for what that's worth!

Not only one, but getting there!
Um, no but it probably feels like it.

Nope - I am a hold out too. I figure before long it will be over too, so why bother.
Just coming out of lurkdom to say i don't "facebook" either, can anyone tell me what I'm supposedly missing?
Nope, you're not the only one!

No, ma'am, you are not alone. :o)
I'm not on it either, don't feel alone. I don't really trust it, so I won't do it.
