Banana Bread...
Yep, these bananas look just right for banana bread. I have the BEST recipe, too. So unless Mr. U gets to them first (he LOVES bananas really freckled like these are), I'll make some banana bread for the family! YUM!
Banana Bread
1 stick butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup whole wheat flour
3 large bananas, mashed
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease your 9x5x3 bread pan. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy then add your eggs in, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift all purpose flour, baking soda and salt together and then stir in the whole wheat flour. Add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Fold in bananas, vanilla and nuts. Pour into pan and bake 50 to 60 minutes or till tooth pick comes out clean. Cool in the pan 10 minutes and then turn out.

Yum! I love to eat very ripe bananas too.:-)
Mmm, that sounds good! Your recipe looks a lot like the one I use. I was actually just thinking yesterday about making banana bread because I have a lot of frozen bananas in the freezer.
Here's an odd tip: adding a little bit of mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip) into the batter makes the banana bread/muffins really moist and a little tangy. (Don't add too much; maybe a tablespoon or two.) Nobody will know why they are so good! I know that sounds strange, but try it and you will like it! :)
Too funny... my son will only eat them if the peels are still green on top! Yuck! The minute they have a little brown on them... he won't touch them! So I always have plenty of over ripe bananas at my house.
We love banana bread. Actually, my crew has been known to leave the last three bananas sit on the counter to get freckly just for this purpose!
I LOVE banana bread! And my hubby always insists on getting bananas that are still partially green... yuck! The ones in that picture look perfect to me! :)

I should whip up some banana bread. According to my hubby I do not make it often enough lol!. I love the way it makes the house smell.
Mm-mm, hubby's favorite! We make a lot of banana bread at our house. :o)
