With all the excitement about Elizabeth coming, I've let my homekeeping slide a bit. Not good. So yesterday, I tried to start putting things back in place. It's amazing how a few days of not keeping up with things can ruin a neat and tidy home. LOL!!
So, what have we have up to? Well, Mr. U and I have been talking about painting our spare bedroom for a while and we finally did it on Wednesday!!! Yippee!! The walls were a cream white color and we painted them a lovely green color called Jewel of the Nile. LOVE IT!! Today I am heading out to look for some new window treatments. I'm not quite sure what I want, but I know I will know it when I see it.

What a lovely shade of green!
I just had to leave a comment after I discovered we share a birthday and baby name! I am due in June, and just decided on Elizabeth Ann if it's a girl. Congratulations on your news! It must be so exciting. I adopted two foster girls in August, so we have one more thing in common. Have fun preparing for your new daughter!
I LOVE the shade of green you chose! Just beautiful!!

Beautiful shade of green. That is the color I plan on using in my bedroom when we paint again (hubby doesn't know it yet!LOL) Do you have Elizabeth's nursery ready?? Would love to see pics if you do!
You picked one of my favorite colors of green - so restful and peaceful! I laugh because when we moved to our home 9 out of 11 rooms were some shade of orange - from terra cotta, coral and rust to cinnamon and pumpkin! We felt like we were living in a Mexican restaurant! Now we have various sages, tans, creams, and a nice sleepy olive for our bedroom! We have one pretty pink girlie room, a lilac 1/2 bathroom and the kids hall bathroom is very nautical and 'watery' in a wonderful denim blue with cranberry and tan accents! I love color! God was so wonderful to paint our world so lavishly - yet we are still just looking at a dirty reflection - heaven will be so bright and pure!
I love the color!!
Great color choice! I can't wait to see the window treatments. :)
What a lovely shade of green...
...but tell me Shari, how in the world do you have time to paint a room when you're getting ready to go to CHINA?????
Blessings,
Debbie Yuck
Hi Jen! Happy happy birthday (late) and congratulations on your new little one still being formed!! What a blessing!!!
Susan, I will definitely have to put up some pictures of Elizabeth's room...whenever it is done, that is!! LOL!! I seem to have boxes piled everywhere. I am so very thankful for the gifts I've received, but sadly, I hadn't been so good at putting them in their proper places just yet!! LOL!!
Heather, your room colors sound heavenly!!! I especially like thinking of the color "sleepy olive". Sounds lovely!!!
Mrs. C... window treatments... all I want is a simple white sheer curtain with the tabs at the top. Do you know that I can find these NOWHERE!!! I thought this would be the easiest to find, but I was wrong!! I'm trying to keep my options open, but I just keep thinking of how "clean" the room would look with simple white sheers... So I'll keep looking!!!
Debbie!! HA!! I painted the room BECAUSE we're getting ready to go to China!! What does a girl do when she's got too much to do and is stressed out? Either eat something chocolate or paint a room- of course!!! LOL!
His,
Mrs. U
