Making a House a Home

When my oldest son was four he drew a picture of my husband shaving. I framed it and hung it in our bathroom. When he married I gave it to him and now it hangs in his bathroom. They now frame their daughter's artwork and hang it in her room.

What a GREAT idea, Christine!!! Not only that you framed it, but that you gave it to your son, too!!! Soooo sweet!!!

Oh, could there be any sweeter gift? I took one of my son's drawings of our family, complete with crooked heads and knobby little knees, and transferred it onto a needlepoint canvas. I stitched it and framed it and it has been hanging in our family room for the last almost 20 years. It is one of my most precious possessions :) There is nothing like a young one's heartfelt artwork to just warm you through and through. :)
