Back into a normal routine...
Now that the Christmas holidays and New Year are over, it's time to get back into a normal routine around here. I'm sure many of y'all feel the same way, too. All the decorations are being put to rest for another year and the home is getting back into its "non-Christmas" look.
While I LOVE having those sweet little white lights on the tree, I also love having a neat and tidy home MINUS the pine needles (yes, a major negative in having a real Christmas tree).
So, today will be back to my regular cleaning routine for Monday- washing Mr. U's and my clothes and cleaning our bathroom. I also found today that our back porch is in dire need of a thorough sweeping! We've had a good bit of rain the past few days and it shows!!! :)
I love special holidays, but I also love the joy that comes from the simplicity of the "same old same old" of everyday living.
Blessings to each of you as you serve your family this year!!

Today's the day that we get back to normal business, too. As soon as I put away the Nativity, I'll be done with all the Christmas decorations.
I am with you on this. I am looking forward to getting my home in order and heading back into a simple routine!
We are back to our normal routine also. It feels sooo nice.
Have a blessed day.

i have missed routine so much, you said it all pretty much perfectly!
I admire that you are already straightened up. After the 12th Day of Christmas (tomorrow), I will begin taking everything down. Ugh. It's fun to look forward to the New Year, though.
God bless,
Elizabeth
I had to giggle when I read your post today because I posted about the VERY SAME THING today!!!!We are kindred spirits for sure:)
I am still not home. But I am looking forward to getting back in my routine and having a decoration free house. I seem to do so much better when I am on a routine.
May your week be blessed and productive!

We are getting back on schedule too - but reluctantly! Our home looks so sparse after putting away everything - our daughter says it makes her feel sad. Our son says our mantle is suffering from BMS - Bare Mantle Syndrome! I need to get creative and look for ways to brighten things up a bit!
I agree with you. AlthoughI do love the Holidays, it is nice to get everythig packed up and get back to the normal daily routine.
I agree but I won't be able to get my house in order until this weekend, but your blog is very inspiring!
