January's blooms....

When I finally took time this past weekend to look around our yard, I was quite happy with what I found. January's flowers are blooming and, boy, do they look lovely against the gray skies that we've had lately!!!

Paperwhites... lovely, gentle, crisp, clean...

Camellia bush... bright, eye-catching, a happy "pop" of color against January's oftentimes gloomy skies...

What's blooming in YOUR yard right now?

NOTHING is blooming here in the Northeast, so it is such a treat to see your flowers.

I have snow blooming! LOL! I was worried last week though. We had a sixty degree day, a fifty degree day and quite a few in the fourties. I was sure things were going to start popping up, which would be fine if spring was really near but, as I knew, we are now having more snow and the first "Artic Air" of the season is due this weekend.

Snow! Last week it was unseasonably warm here and this past Saturday I saw some daffodils sticking their noses up, but there is snow here, in Ohio, today. :-D

How beautiful!

Thank you for sharing! I miss our camelia at our old house, but love our new house too much to dwell on it! :-)

We are starting to get a green haze on all the trees here in the Pacific Northwest, but not nothing blooming yet. We will have this green haze until April and then it will start blooming.

Nothing blooming in the midwest. Flowers in January is one thing I miss about living in the south!

Oh, how pretty, Mrs. U! Such wonderful colors! We don't have any blooms here, hopefully in March!

Mrs. U,
I am new to your blog and it is wonderful! Here in the Midwest, SNOW is blooming and nothing else. Although, I am tempted to trek outside and gather some pussy willow and some cherry wood to force bloom inside. Have a wonderful day,
Carrie

Ahh ha, you must be JOKING! At first when I started reading I figured you forced the paperwhites inside. Then I realized you were talking about OUTSIDE. LOL

It seems so funny to be discussing what is blooming in January, being a Michigan girl all my life. I be those flowers do perk up the gray skys for you:)

Blessings,

Trixie
