A homekeeper....

The job of keeping a home is an honorable one. There is a difference between a housekeeper and a homekeeper. A hired housekeeper will keep the home clean and do the duties as expected of her employer, but a homekeeper does the duties in her home from her heart. She does it out of love for her family. She looks upon her duties as the most important job in all the world. It takes a lot of patience, skill, commitment and love to be a keeper of your home. Be faithful; in due time, your familoy will rise up and call you blessed. I am honored to be the keeper of my home.

I agree! What an honor and a blessing it is to be a homemaker, and one I take very seriously, I might add:) Wishing you and your precious family a blessed New Year, Mrs. U.

That's my motto as well!!! Whenever I'm asked my profession, I state homemaker. I wonder how often people really look at the word to understand what it means.

Excellent quote! I need to get me that book...I have been saying that for about 2 years now, I winder when I'm finally going to just buy it already. :)

Been a keeper at home since 2003 and wouldn't change it for the world.
Gotten flack from family and friends about my decision but I can care less, that's their problem, not mine. :)

2010 blessings from Dawn in Texas.
