Miss Elizabeth Ann U.

Glory to God!!! We finally can see the sweet face of our daughter, Elizabeth Ann U!!! It is with MUCH thanks to the Lord that we share this with all of y'all!!

We received the call from our adoption agency at 11:52 am on January 4, 2007.

Her Chinese name is Yang Chun Hua Bing which means Brilliant Magnificent Soldier.

Elizabeth was born May 2, 2006, in Yangchun, China, which is in the Guangdong Province.

She weighed 15 pounds at her last check up in October and was 24 inches tall. They will be sending us updated information in the next few weeks which will include a more recent physical exam with more current weight.

Is God good or what???

Mrs. U -

[I don't think I've posted before - but I just had to pop in for this!]

Congratulations on your little one! I love the name Elizabeth, and I can't help but add that her Chinese name "Brilliant Magnificent Soldier" is so fitting for a little lady being raised in a Christian home. What a beautiful little baby!

I'm so pleased for you Mrs. U! God is indeed good - and even if this path doesn't go as smoothly or as quickly as you would wish - He is still good and still in control! What a blessing for little Elizabeth Ann to have a family praying for her, loving her, waiting for her!

My middle name is Anne with an E because of Anne Shirley of Green Gables (Lucy Maud Montgomery)! Might you consider an E for your Elizabeth since it is ever so pleasant to be connected to such a fun and wonderful literary figure?
I had a good camp chum who was dubbed 'Beth-Anne' the summer we were 9 and it has stuck for all these years - her mother was flabbergasted, but came to accept that her Elizabeth Anne really suited the more shy and gentle 'Beth-Anne' and couldn't quite manage the whole of her title!
Consecrated to God! I pray the time will go quickly as you wait for her to come home!

I just got a call from my agency, and I thought I would pass this onto you. You may already know this, but they were just reminding us, so I thought I would shre the info! They said that the weight given on our referrals, is often not accurate. The weight can even be as much as 2-3 pounds less then what is listed. Because the medical info is often not true. The babies are weighed with all there clothes on (several layers) and perhaps even a wet diaper!! Our agency was letting us know, so that we wouldn't buy the clothes that suposedly would fit a 'normal' baby her size. They said to buy 1-3 sizes smaller! My friend, who recently returned from China with her daughter (14 months old) said she was wearing 3-6 month clothing!!! Every baby is different. But many are small, and your wee one looks like a little peanut just like mine!!! She is sooo beautiful! God is so good!!!!
